Aleeyah not Leah
Names are important, and often times imported, from parent to child a life long gift to remember them by.
It's Aleeyah not Leah, so have some respect and please be absolutely observant of that.
My name means a lot to me, so when I pray to God, he needs to put a lock on me. I'm definitely one of God's favorites because God always answers, never mispronounced my name and never cancels, maybe God would cancel the meetings with Leah but certainly not ALEEYAH, I mean, AmmIright?
a name is a great way to connect with someone and build rapport really easily, especially if the other person identifies with being from a different culture. for example, I have a friend who goes by Neme but when I first met him, I asked if it was a nickname and if so, what is his actual birth name? He shared his full name and said he is Nigerian. His full name is much longer and "harder to pronounce" so he "shortens it for ease" for other people. i was able to learn about his tribe and such after that and we really bonded!
